What this version handles
ShellWeEat displays publicly listed campus events. The app stores event descriptions, locations, hosts, source links, and import records. These descriptions may contain organizer contact details published in the original listing.
When you browse
This version has no accounts, submission forms, advertising, tracking cookies, browser storage, or device-location requests. Searches and filters are sent in the page URL to this app. Your browser may retain them in its history. Avoid entering sensitive information.
Visitor analytics
We use Vercel Web Analytics on the production website to understand visitor counts and page views. Reports include pages visited, referring websites, approximate location, and browser and device information. Analytics does not use tracking cookies or show us visitors’ names. We remove search parameters and URL fragments from page URLs before sending analytics events. See Vercel’s analytics privacy documentation.
Performance measurements
We use Vercel Speed Insights on the production website to measure loading speed, responsiveness, and visual stability. We remove search parameters and URL fragments from reported page URLs. See Vercel’s Speed Insights privacy documentation.
Hosting and technical logs
Vercel hosts this website and processes technical request information to deliver and secure it, which may include IP addresses, browser information, request paths, and errors. Search and filter values are part of the URL. The app does not store visitor profiles or searches in its event database. Vercel documents a one-hour runtime-log viewing window for its Hobby plan; this is not a promise that all provider security or operational records are deleted after one hour. See Vercel’s privacy policy.
Event storage and updates
Neon stores the imported event listings and update status. GitHub Actions runs the scheduled updater and records job results. Visitor searches are not sent to GitHub Actions or forwarded to TerpLink by the updater. Saved event records currently have no automatic age-based deletion schedule. Provider backup and operational records follow the applicable account settings and provider policies. See Neon’s privacy policy and GitHub’s privacy statement.
Contact and external links
Contact links open your email application. If you email us, your address and message are received in the project’s Gmail mailbox and used to respond to your request. Avoid sending sensitive information. Maps and original-event links take you to external services with their own privacy practices. The site uses a no-referrer policy to avoid sending the current page URL in the Referer header.
Questions and corrections
